At WFOR we believe in moving media forward…pun intended. Our vision is to achieve this through a media efficient community. We believe that if we all work together we can refashion not just radio, but all forms of media into a model that works for the People’s interests, instead of the interests of those in power. We thin that everyone in our community has the right to be creators of their own media, media that addresses the issues that are relevant and meaningful to us.
We believe that the time is now to take media back into our own hands. We want to assist anyone who is motivated towards bettering our community to gain access to the technology and tools of media in order to make their voice heard. We want WFOR to be a platform for all of the dedicated and passionate voices emanating from every corner of our city. Imagine, all of the wonderful individuals and groups working tirelessly to make Louisville a more just, compassionate and free city. Now imagine those voices and stories coming together in one place. We feel that everyone’s voice is important, and that everyone has a story to tell. So, in the spirit of open access, we have tried to make the process of contributing to WFOR as easy as possible and bring the studio directly to you.
