Americana Digital Music Project

ADMPWFOR is proud to partner with The Americana Digital Music Project to bring you the international sounds of Louisville.

The project began as a class taught at the Americana Community Center in Louisville. This class teaches the basics of audio recording and production, with the goal of providing the youth enrolled in class the skills to become self sufficient musicians. The project also makes efforts to reach out to musicians in our community that are very talented but have never had the opportunity to record.

The Americana community is made up of individuals from almost 100 nation/ethnic groups, and the music that they work with in the project reflects that diversity. In the Americana soundscape you can hear; Hip-Hop, Bongo Flava, Reggeton, Bollywood/Bhangra, etc. Also represented, are more traditional musical styles from Burundi, Vietnam, Iraq, etc.
